What to expect when visiting New Adelphi Exhibition Gallery

The New Adelphi Exhibition Gallery is on the ground floor of the New Adelphi building, the entrance is to the left beside the reception office.
This space is only a 5 minute walk from Salford Crescent Train Station.
Directions from Salford Crescent Train Station to New Adelphi Exhibition Gallery:
This route is wheelchair user friendly.

Salford Crescent Train Station Entrance

When you exit the train station, turn left and keep following the footpath.

You will walk alongside the train station’s taxi rank, keep walking along this footpath until you reach the roundabout.

From here you will see the New Adelphi Building, cross the road and go towards the three cement blocks.

Once you reach the New Adelphi Building, keep to the right side on the walk way.

To the right of the walk way there are some picnic tables to sit at.
Entrance/Exit:

At the end of picnic benches the entrance to New Adelphi Building will be to the left.
This entrance is signposted.
This entry may also be used as an exit.
Inside New Adelphi:

Ground floor:
When entering New Adelphi there are toilets, a café (to the left), the reception desk and the New Adelphi Exhibition Gallery.
Toilets:

The toilets are to the right of the entrance, just after the theatre box office.

There are female and male toilets available and a wheelchair friendly toilet at the end.
Reception and Gallery Space:

The New Adelphi Exhibition Gallery is on the ground floor of the New Adelphi building, the gallery entrance is to the left beside the reception office.
You can access information and help from the reception desk.
Our gallery walls are currently blue. At the entrance wall you may find artwork or signage. This exhibition (June 2026) has digital photographic prints.

If there are trigger warnings for the exhibition, they will be listed on this freestanding sign at the entrance.

When entering the gallery, to the left of the door there is a large print guide available and feedback cards if you wish to leave your thoughts on our current exhibition.

We change the exhibition a few times a year. You may see prints, sculpture, paintings, and digital videos.
We may however run events, workshops or student tours which can make the space busy. We will advertise these in advance

We also have a digital display screen with archival imagery and photography open call images presented (currently June 2026).
There is usually a bench or seat to rest on. The small gallery is usually quite peaceful, not very busy or crowded.
Alternative Exit:

You may exit through the entrance door…
Alternatively you can exit through the door to the right as you come out of the gallery.
