Artist Development

The Art Collection Team is a small but ambitious and experienced curatorial team. We supports artists locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, and at all career levels. From students and graduates through to established artists, we offer support and development through: commissions, exhibition opportunities, studio visits, bid-writing support, networking and more.

Artist Residencies

Since 2021 we have offered a limited number of paid artist residencies on campus, running for 6 to 18 months. Artists are usually selected through open calls, and may variously be able to access or work with: academic contacts, cross-discipline research, making facilities, industry partners and more.  Read more about our current programme here.

Studio Visits

We can offer in-person or online studio visits with artists based in Greater Manchester, or artists with a clear link to our Collecting Policies and areas of expertise. You might want to: discuss your artist statement, review your website and online presence, consider networking opportunities, or review your recent work and exhibitions.
