This event is part of Go Green Salford fortnight, festival of Sustainability.
Join us for a free drop-in collage workshop in the New Adelphi Exhibition Gallery lead by artist, alumni, and founder of Studio Within Katie Aird! Inspired by our new exhibition City of Making – come along to discover how imagination and sustainability can support our well-being and create opportunities for mindfulness.
In this session, we will focus on browsing our inspiration booklets, filled with a mix of conceptual ideas and collage styles to spark your imagination. Think shapes, borders, textures, keywords… and if you’re stuck, we’ve got plenty of prompts to help get you going. Once you’re set, you’ll have time to get fully stuck in and create your own collage masterpiece to take home!
Tools and creative materials will be provided by Studio Within including a treasure trove of rare magazines, vintage books, and journals, as well as images from our University archives – all yours to rip, cut, and play with.
